Morgan Smith focuses her practice on trademark and false advertising litigation, trademark prosecution, and client counseling. She counsels clients on selection, maintenance, and enforcement of trademark rights in the United States and abroad. Ms. Smith represents clients in a diverse range of industries, including sports equipment, apparel, food and beverage, automotive, and telecommunications.

In addition to Ms. Smith's litigation practice before federal courts, she also handles cancellation and opposition proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). She conducts offensive and defensive discovery, including electronic discovery, and handles day-to-day litigation activities.

Prior to joining Finnegan, Ms. Smith counseled filmmakers on fair use of copyrighted material in documentary films as a member of the Intellectual Property & Technology Law Clinic at the University of Southern California Gould School of Law.
